Terms of Service
The terms for using our website, learning with us, and taking part in Product Builders Club workshops and events.
Last updated:
1. About these terms
Product Builders Club is operated by Blank Slate Labs. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Blank Slate Labs. These terms cover our website, resources, workshops, and community events (together, our “services”).
By using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services. You must be legally able to agree to these terms, or have a parent or guardian agree on your behalf where permitted. Any additional requirements for an event will be stated on its listing.
2. Registrations and payments
Workshop and event listings describe the format, dates, price, and requirements for each session. Please check these details before booking and provide accurate registration information so we can send you access details and updates.
Bookings are handled through Luma, and payments are processed by Stripe through Luma. Luma's and Stripe's terms also apply when you use their services. Your booking covers the workshop described in the listing. Paid plans for AI coding agents or other tools are separate costs unless the listing expressly says they are included.
3. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel for a refund any time before your workshop starts. Email support@productbuildersclub.com to request a cancellation. Once the workshop starts, it is non-refundable because everyone who registers receives the recording, whether or not they attend live. This does not affect any refund rights you have under applicable law.
If you need a different date, contact us before the workshop and we will try to arrange a switch, subject to availability. If we cancel or reschedule a paid workshop, we will notify registered participants and offer a refund if we cannot provide the session or you cannot attend the new date.
4. Workshop recordings
Our online workshops are recorded. Everyone who registers gets the recording to download and keep, even if they cannot join live. If you speak, turn on your camera, share your screen, or contribute to a recorded discussion, your contribution may appear in the recording shared with registered participants.
Avoid sharing passwords, API keys, confidential information, or personal information you do not want included. Contact us before the workshop if you have questions about appearing in a recording.
5. Community conduct
Treat other participants, hosts, and instructors with respect. Do not harass or discriminate against others, send spam, share unlawful material, or publish someone else's private information without permission. Follow the instructions of event hosts and any venue rules.
Do not misuse the website, disrupt a session, attempt unauthorized access, or use our services to infringe another person's rights. We may remove disruptive participants or restrict access when needed to protect the community or address a breach of these terms. Any payment or refund rights required by law still apply.
6. Our materials and your projects
We or our licensors own the website content, branding, teaching materials, and workshop recordings. You may use the resources and materials you receive for your own learning and to build your own projects. Unless a resource has a separate license that allows it, please do not redistribute, resell, or publicly upload our recordings or teaching materials without written permission.
You retain your rights in the original work you create. Attending a workshop does not transfer ownership of your project to us. Third-party code, assets, tools, and AI-generated output may be subject to their own licenses and terms; you are responsible for checking those before using or publishing your project.
7. Third-party services
Our services use or link to independent providers, including Luma for bookings, Stripe for payment processing through Luma, and Kit for workshop email signups. Workshops may also use third-party development tools, AI services, and hosting platforms. Those providers have their own terms, privacy practices, fees, and availability. We do not control them, and you are responsible for the accounts and subscriptions you choose to use.
8. Email and registration details
We use the details you provide to manage your registration and send information about your booking. If you join our workshop email list, we will send workshop announcements and updates. You can unsubscribe from that list using the link in those emails. For questions about your information, read our Privacy Policy or contact us at the address below.
9. Learning and responsibility
Our workshops and resources are educational. We do not promise a particular business outcome, income, employment opportunity, or that every project will work without changes. Tools and AI-generated code can make mistakes. Review and test your work, keep credentials secure, and make backups before relying on or publishing a project.
To the extent permitted by law, our services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes guarantees or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Blank Slate Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of our services, including lost profits or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services change. We will post the updated version here and revise the date at the top of this page. For material changes affecting an existing paid booking, we will notify registered participants before those changes take effect. Updated terms apply prospectively and do not remove refund rights for earlier bookings.
